What started as my daily warm-ups and fun doodles, morphed into something much bigger. I wanted to create art that spread joy and makes others smile. The goal of my Daily DrawLings is to bring a little light into your day. I view my art practice similarly to how I would describe myself, made up of many vastly different pieces. Pieces that most would not expect to fit together to create a coherent whole. My media fluctuates constantly, as I find new inspiration or a desire to take an artistic adventure. I do not believe in limiting myself to one media, because I never know what message I will want to convey next. In my earlier life I was constantly drawn to a life of travel and adventure. In recent years I have translated that need for adventure into my art making. These landscapes are painted after a period of meditation. You can see more of my work on instagram or twitter @daily_drawlings or on facebook at Aisling Kerns Art.

It began with a want to find the beauty and perfection within the chaos of the world around me. I could feel all the energy surrounding me, the pure madness of the situation, and I wanted to catch it. I wanted my shutter to lock in every feeling I had at that very moment, the adrenalin, the excitement, the sadness, everything. I had also begun to noticed the simple fact of how purely human we all were. I no longer saw the people around me as any different from me. Each of us cries, laughs, wants, and loves. To me that is the most beautiful thing I could capture. I could have shown the despair, the chaos, the fear, but how will bringing more negative images into the world help it? There is enough sadness, darkens and hate in our world, I want my art to show a connection between all the beautiful things we have to celebrate. Through the lens of my camera the world becomes a fabulous, glorious adventure.
